One Day Tour

You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel to head directly to the border of Costa Rica and Panama. After crossing the border over the famous bridge of River Sixaola your driver will bring you to the Port of Almirante. From there you head towards the Dolphin Bay, enjoying a light breakfast on the boat. At the Dolphin Bay you have time to observe dolphins in their natural environment before you're heading towards Cayo Coral. At Cayo Coral you can discover the underwater world whilst snorkelling. The boat will take you past many mangrove forests where you can catch glimpses of the diverse life hiding behind the thickly forested banks.

For lunch you will stop at the Red Frog Beach before you departure for the Port of Almirante. The tour ends at around 5pm with being dropped off back at your hotel.

Overnight Tours

After picking you up at your hotel, we will go by microbus to Sixaola, which is the town on the border with Panama. We will cross the Rio Sixaola, pass through immigration and then take another bus which will take us to Almirante where a ferry boat will take us to Bocastown on Isla Colon (the main island). Your guide will then take you to your hotel to settle in.

For those choosing the one night tour, you will have the rest of the day free to visit one of the nearby islands or just have a walk in town. For those on the 2 night tour, y0ur guide will pick you up after lunch (not included) to take a boat ride to Bastimento Island and from there visit the spectacular Red Frog Beach.

The following day the guide will pick you up at your hotel to begin a full day boat tour. Those on the 1 night tour take a boat will goes to Dolphin Bay first, then to some snorkeling spots and finally to visit the spectacular Crawl Cay where they will serve a tasty lunch in a restaurant right on the beautiful emerald ocean. Those on the 2 night tour, take a trip on our friend Marcel's beautiful 40-foot catamaran for a fully day trip through the surrounding islands. The day includes lunch and several stops for snorkeling.

Those on the 2 day tour will then return to the hotel to pickup up your luggage and start the trip back to Puerto Viejo. Those on the 3 day tour will enjoy the evening in Bocastown and then return to Puerto Viejo the next day after breakfast.
