The Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge is located at the south-eastern tip of the Caribbean slope. It is surrounded by the Sixaola River at the Panamanian border to the east, and a row of mountains from the Talamanca range to the south. On the north side you will find white sand beaches and rich coral reefs.
On this overnight trip, you will hike through the primary forest to your destination for the night: The Nature Observatory. Your house for the night is attached 25 meters up in the tree and has the size of 60 m2. The house is divided into two platforms with it´s own modern bathroom and double bed.
From here you will be able to spot the capuchin and howler monkeys, as well as two- and three-toed sloths, tapirs, agoutis, raccoons and many more.
Included is round trip transportation from Puerto Viejo or Cahuita, 1 overnight at the Observatorio, 3 meals and drinks.
