This trip combines three of our most popular activities: a visit to the Jaguar Rescue Center, a visit to an indigenous family that shows you how they make chocolate right from the Cacao trees in their yard and a visit to a local waterfall and swimming hole.

The Jaguar Animal Center rehabilitates mistreated, injured and/or confiscated animals, which are then reintroduced to their natural habitat in protected areas. Visitors have direct contact with monkeys, wild cats, sloths, raccoons, anteaters, marsupials, reptiles, amphibians, etc.

Cahuita National Park is considered as one of the most beautiful protected areas in Costa Rica. It is also one of the oldest national parks of Costa Rica as it was founded in 1970 to protect the coral reef.

Because of its white sand beaches, large number of coconut palms, turquoise sea and coral reef this is a spot you do not want to miss.

La Ceiba Reserve - Day Tour

During this 2 1/2 hour hike you can explore the reserve's primary rain forest and the variety of mammals which live there. In La Ceiba reserve you can find 90% of Costa Rica's biodiversity and there is a great chance to see animals such as toucans, parrots, golden orioles, hummingbirds, monkeys, sloths and different kinds of colorful frogs.

Cahuita National Park features the largest coral reefs in Southern Central America as well as great hiking trails with lots of wildlife. This trip combines a boat ride, snorkeling and hiking. This tour will give you the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the indigenous people of Talamanca and meet with Don Cándido, a famed local healer who will teach you about local healing plants and methods. We will visit Centro Cultural Indigena and meet Don Cándido, the last in a long line of indigenous medicine men. At the centre there are more than 1500 plants used to cure different illnesses. There is a walking trail where you can see many of these medicinal plants and enjoy close contact with jungle birds and small animals. The captain directs the vessel for the surrounding coast, providing clients with information about the route or aquatic life and answering any questions. Also, during the whole journey, guides will offer natural drinks, soda, water and beer. During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to see dolphins, stingrays, sea turtles and migrating whales. From the boat, major islands in the area may be viewed including Olocuita and Isla Verde, which was once used by the native Quepoa Indians as a cemetery, many years ago.
