VILLA BANANA VERDE

The Private Garden Villas are located opposite the hotel. They all include a kitchen, dining area, lounge area, bedroom with cable TV, a luxurious shower and A/C. The villas also include a cool plunge pool and a balcony on both the first and the second floor. They accommodate up to four people, as there is a sofa bed in the living room area.

OCEAN ROOMS

Located on the top floor, Ocean Rooms feature spacious adjoining decks with side views of the beach, hammock and hardwood furniture. Each room has a queen bed with the option of adding a twin for a third person or separate beds.

These rooms are ideal to book for multiple couples as we can remove dividers on the deck to have private sleeping quarters and bathroom but share vast deck space. If space permits, you can book up to four adjoining rooms. Please consult with the front office.

SLOTH CARIBBEAN ROOMS

Separated from the main building, our two Sloth Caribbean Cabinas are on the 2nd floor with partial ocean views. Rooms are newly refurbished with a Caribbean Beach Cottage style and includes a private deck overlooking gardens and ocean. Rooms have air conditioning, Wifi, hammocks and a queen bed.

Our best sea-view corner room with wrap-around deck, closest to the beach. Room features a King bed, Cable TV and a deluxe bathroom with tub for two overlooking the beach. It has been the room that is most popular with honeymooners.

TREE HOUSE APARTMENT

Originally built as the owner's home, the Tree House Apartment is tucked up in the trees and is a fully furnished, two bedroom Apartment. This 700 sq ft unit has a tree house feel with jungle views and some ocean views, full open-air kitchen and great room, with cable TV in bedrooms.

Comfortably sleeps four guests. The large bedroom has a King size bed. The smaller bedroom has a double size bed.

Larger parties up to 6 guests can additionally rent the Red Frog Tropical Suite, which is on the ground floor below the apartment. It is like renting a 3 bedroom/2 bath 2-floor house with private plunge pool included.

Located on the main level between the reception and the restaurant, the Tropical bath standard Room consists of a bedroom that connects to a separate private garden bath area with an enclosed patio, a two-person bathtub, and an outside shower.

RED FROG SUITE

Tucked away in a quiet corner of our property, the Red Frog suite is located at the garden level, situated beneath the Tree House Apartment. The suite includes a private plunge pool, deluxe bathroom with rain shower, cable TV, A/C, oversized patio with fish pond, and private gardens.

"I stayed 7 nights with my 18 and 22 year old daughters on a "girl's trip". Banana Azul is such a lovely and tranquil facility! The grounds are landscaped beautifully, the lodge is decorated in Central American themed decor; the rooms, while simple (perfectly fine with us!) open up to gorgeous decks that overlook the garden and pool. One room has a corner view of the garden/pool and the beach. We were in an Ocean Room. I also cannot say enough great things about the staff. The staff are the gems of Banana Azul. Topnotch, A+++ service and accommodating to guests. The owner and manager really know how to hire and keep good people which is so important! You've got a great team! I would without hesitation recommend this boutique hotel and we would come back again."

"My husband and I came here for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We splurged on the Howler Suite and it was worth every penny. The room sits on the corner of the building with a large outdoor living area complete with table and chairs, loungers and a hammock. The bed was huge and the bathroom is equally enormous with a shower and soaking tub. Our room was sweetly decorated to celebrate our anniversary including brownies and a bottle of wine. I loved that this property was adults only - it was quiet and serene, with a stunning beach and pool area. The food here is also fantastic and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast plus dinner and midday snacks throughout our stay. If you decide to go into town, it's either a short 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk along the beach. The town is lovely, but it's nice to be able to return to your own personal paradise at Banana Azul. Thank you to the wonderful staff for an incredible and memorable stay!"
